The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that one of its posts on the Lebanon-Israel border was struck by small arms fire on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred near Kfar Shouba along the Blue Line, with no casualties reported among the peacekeepers. UNIFIL stated that such deliberate attacks endanger its personnel and has launched an investigation. This event occurs as UNIFIL's mandate is set to end on December 31, 2026, following pressure from the US and Israel.
