US President Donald Trump has drawn bipartisan criticism from both Democrats and Republicans after waiving sanctions targeting Russia and countries that buy its oil and gas. The waiver, issued via an executive order on Friday, was stated to be in the US national interest, with restrictions remaining suspended until further determination. Republican Senator Thom Tillis called the decision "beyond irresponsible," while Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren accused Trump of enabling Putin's war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also condemned the move, warning it would encourage further attacks.
