The Sports Ministry has announced a significant increase in financial assistance for National Sports Federations (NSFs) looking to host international events. Under the revised Scheme of Assistance to NSFs, federations can now receive up to Rs 50 crore. This substantial hike aims to bolster the organization of major sporting competitions within the country. The announcement came on Friday with the unveiling of new operational guidelines for the scheme.
