Both the men's and women's teams were scheduled to play against the Netherlands and Bulgaria respectively. Their opponents declined requests to reschedule the matches to accommodate Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. Consequently, Israel's teams did not appear, resulting in 4-0 forfeit wins for the Netherlands and Bulgaria.
