Indian-origin Nurse Wins $250,000 Global Award

Agimol Pradeep, an Indian-origin nurse in the UK, has won the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2026, receiving a $250,000 prize. She was recognised for her significant contributions to increasing awareness of organ and stem-cell donation, particularly among South Asians. Pradeep, a senior transplant coordinator, was selected from over 134,000 registrations worldwide. Half of her prize money will fund her charitable organisation, Upahaar, to expand organ donation awareness and registration.
