UP Minister Mocks SP's MLC Win, Questions Educated Voters' Choices

Uttar Pradesh minister Om Prakash Rajbhar sarcastically commented on the Samajwadi Party's victory in the Varanasi Teachers' constituency MLC election. He stated that the mandate came from educated individuals, not the general public, and questioned what "cannon" the SP had deployed. Rajbhar dismissed the idea that these by-elections were a semi-final for the 2027 assembly polls. He also criticized Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's upcoming book and Rahul Gandhi's statements on the Tata Sans controversy, accusing them of opposing India and its institutions.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मंत्री ओम प्रकाश राजभर ने वाराणसी शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र एमएलसी चुनाव में समाजवादी पार्टी की जीत पर ताना मारा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह जनादेश आम जनता का नहीं, बल्कि पढ़े-लिखे लोगों का है और सवाल किया कि सपा ने कौन सा "तोप" चला दिया। राजभर ने इन उपचुनावों को 2027 के विधानसभा चुनावों के लिए सेमी-फाइनल मानने से इनकार कर दिया। उन्होंने कांग्रेस नेता सोनिया गांधी की आने वाली किताब और टाटा संस विवाद पर राहुल गांधी के बयानों की भी आलोचना की, उन पर भारत और उसकी संस्थाओं का विरोध करने का आरोप लगाया।
