The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation pledged $36.6 million in 2021 to expand Community First! Village, a housing project in Austin for individuals transitioning from chronic homelessness. This contribution is part of a larger campaign to add 1,400 new homes. Infrastructure work has begun on two new properties, which will increase the village's total size to 178 acres. Once complete, the expansion will allow the village to house up to 1,900 residents, offering permanent housing and community support.
