11,000 Volt Line Hits Cement Mixer During Road Construction, Killing 8

Eight villagers died and five were injured when a cement mixer's iron pipe touched an 11,000-volt high-tension power line during road construction in Chapoli village, Rajasthan. The villagers were pooling funds and contributing labor to build a road to a religious site. The accident occurred when the mixer machine slipped and the pipe made contact with the overhead line, causing a current surge. Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra visited the site and assured families of Rs 15 lakh compensation and contractual jobs.

राजस्थान के चापोली गांव में सड़क निर्माण के दौरान सीमेंट मिक्सर के लोहे के पाइप के 11,000 वोल्ट की हाई-टेंशन बिजली लाइन को छू जाने से 8 ग्रामीणों की मौत हो गई और पांच घायल हो गए। ग्रामीण एक धार्मिक स्थल तक सड़क बनाने के लिए पैसे जमा कर रहे थे और श्रमदान कर रहे थे। यह हादसा तब हुआ जब मिक्सर मशीन फिसल गई और पाइप ऊपर से गुजर रही लाइन के संपर्क में आ गया, जिससे करंट दौड़ गया। मंत्री झाबर सिंह खर्रा ने घटनास्थल का दौरा किया और परिवारों को 15 लाख रुपये मुआवजे और संविदा नौकरियों का आश्वासन दिया।
