A Rajasthan High Court has ordered a widow to pay 25% of her salary to her mother-in-law and also provide equal terminal benefits. The woman had secured a government job on compassionate grounds after her husband's death in 2017, with an undertaking to care for her in-laws. However, she allegedly left them without support, remarried, and moved out of the matrimonial home. The court ruled that she could not abandon her obligations after availing the benefit, which was intended to support the entire family.
