दिल्ली पुलिस ने शरजील इमाम को मिली अंतरिम जमानत रद्द करने के लिए एक अदालत का रुख किया है। इमाम फरवरी 2020 के उत्तर-पूर्व दिल्ली दंगों से जुड़े बड़े साजिश मामले के आरोपी हैं। पुलिस का आरोप है कि इमाम ने अपनी अस्थायी रिहाई के दौरान मीडिया कर्मियों से बात करके जमानत की शर्तों का उल्लंघन किया। इमाम को दिल्ली और बिहार में अपने चचेरे भाइयों की शादी में शामिल होने के लिए अंतरिम जमानत दी गई थी। पुलिस का तर्क है कि मीडिया के साथ उनकी बातचीत को अदालत के आदेशों का उल्लंघन बताते हुए इस स्वतंत्रता का दुरुपयोग किया गया।
