BJP single-largest party in Rajasthan polls

In Rajasthan's urban local body elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party, securing 4,179 out of 10,235 declared wards. However, independents proved decisive, winning 2,273 seats and limiting the BJP's gains. Congress secured 3,613 wards. The BJP achieved majorities in four municipal corporations and 11 municipal councils, but faced setbacks in key areas like Jhalawar and Baran, indicating incomplete urban dominance despite extensive campaigning by the state government.
