The Sports Ministry has postponed its meeting to assess India's performance at the Asian Games 2026. The review, initially scheduled for October 13, will now take place on October 15. This meeting will focus on the disappointing performances of several senior athletes in sports like badminton, shooting, and athletics. India secured 85 medals, including 21 gold, falling short of the previous edition's tally. The postponement is due to Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya's attendance at the BRICS Traditional and Indigenous Sports Demonstration Games.

खेल मंत्रालय ने एशियन गेम्स 2026 में भारत के प्रदर्शन का आकलन करने के लिए अपनी बैठक स्थगित कर दी है। यह समीक्षा, जो मूल रूप से 13 अक्टूबर को होनी थी, अब 15 अक्टूबर को होगी। इस बैठक में बैडमिंटन, शूटिंग और एथलेटिक्स जैसे खेलों में कई वरिष्ठ एथलीटों के निराशाजनक प्रदर्शन पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा। भारत ने 21 स्वर्ण सहित 85 पदक जीते, जो पिछले संस्करण के कुल से कम है। यह स्थगन खेल मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया के BRICS पारंपरिक और स्वदेशी खेल प्रदर्शन खेलों में भाग लेने के कारण है।
