UP Election Officer Denies Reports of 85,854 Voters Being Deleted

Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa has refuted social media claims that 85,854 voters were removed from the electoral roll. He clarified that the news about the ECI software automatically deleting names using Form-7 is misleading. Rinwa stated that no voter was wrongly removed and all actions followed established procedures for the special intensive revision of electoral rolls-2026. Approximately 3.26 crore voters were initially issued notices due to mapping or logical discrepancies.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा ने सोशल मीडिया पर 85,854 मतदाताओं के नाम मतदाता सूची से हटाए जाने के दावों को खारिज कर दिया है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि फॉर्म-7 का उपयोग करके ECI सॉफ्टवेयर द्वारा नामों को स्वचालित रूप से हटाने की खबर भ्रामक है। रिणवा ने कहा कि किसी भी मतदाता को गलत तरीके से नहीं हटाया गया और मतदाता सूची-2026 के विशेष गहन संशोधन के लिए सभी कार्रवाई स्थापित प्रक्रियाओं के अनुसार की गई। लगभग 3.26 करोड़ मतदाताओं को शुरू में मैपिंग या तार्किक विसंगतियों के कारण नोटिस जारी किए गए थे।
