The planned OTT release of Midhun Manuel Thomas' crime thriller 'Anali' on JioHotstar has been halted by a court stay following a legal objection from Jolly Joseph. Joseph, the prime accused in the Koodathayi cyanide murder case, argued that the series' fictional portrayal could prejudice her ongoing criminal trials and damage her reputation. The Ernakulam Magistrate Court issued the stay, prompting JioHotstar to appeal to the Kerala High Court. The streaming platform cited financial implications of the delay, but the court has yet to confirm a new release date.
