Kerala Govt. to Consider Special Rehabilitation Package for P&T Flats Residents

The Kerala government will consider a special package to rehabilitate families residing in the P&T Apartment Complex at Mundamveli, Kochi, due to safety concerns. Local Self-Governments Minister K.M. Shaji informed the Assembly that the government is also contemplating a comprehensive investigation into construction defects and corruption allegations related to the housing complex. Residents have sought title deeds, currently holding occupancy rights on Greater Cochin Development Authority land. A Vigilance investigation and preliminary inquiry into construction irregularities have already been announced.

सुरक्षा चिंताओं के कारण कोच्चि के मुंडमवेली में पी एंड टी अपार्टमेंट कॉम्प्लेक्स में रहने वाले परिवारों के पुनर्वास के लिए केरल सरकार एक विशेष पैकेज पर विचार करेगी। स्थानीय स्वशासन मंत्री के.एम. शाजी ने विधानसभा को सूचित किया कि सरकार हाउसिंग कॉम्प्लेक्स से संबंधित निर्माण दोषों और भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों की व्यापक जांच पर भी विचार कर रही है। निवासियों ने टाइटल डीड्स मांगे हैं, जो वर्तमान में ग्रेटर कोचीन डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी की जमीन पर कब्जे के अधिकार रखते हैं। निर्माण अनियमितताओं की विजिलेंस जांच और प्रारंभिक जांच की घोषणा पहले ही की जा चुकी है।
