Scientists have discovered the remains of an approximately 800-year-old city submerged beneath Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan's largest lake. A team of scientists and divers is investigating the site near the Toru-Aygyr area, seeking to understand the inhabitants' lifestyle, diet, and how the city came to be underwater. Initial findings include pottery fragments, animal bones, and remnants of old graves and buildings. Researchers believe the city may have been connected to ancient Silk Road trade routes, potentially offering new insights into Central Asian history.
