Jammu & Kashmir Completes Census Fieldwork; Population Enumeration Training Underway

Jammu and Kashmir has successfully completed 100% fieldwork for the District Census Handbook (DCHB), covering 6,466 villages and 80 towns. Director Census Amit Sharma announced that preparations for the Population Enumeration exercise are now underway, with training for census personnel scheduled until January 2027. The DCHB documents essential facilities and infrastructure across the Union Territory. Data validation and compilation are ongoing, with final information to be forwarded for publication. The door-to-door enumeration is set to begin on January 25, 2027.

जम्मू और कश्मीर ने 6,466 गाँवों और 80 कस्बों को कवर करते हुए डिस्ट्रिक्ट सेंसस हैंडबुक (DCHB) के लिए 100% फ़ील्ड वर्क सफलतापूर्वक पूरा कर लिया है। डायरेक्टर सेंसस अमित शर्मा ने घोषणा की कि पॉप्युलेशन एन्यूमरेशन (जनगणना) के लिए तैयारियाँ अब चल रही हैं, और जनगणना कर्मियों के लिए प्रशिक्षण जनवरी 2027 तक निर्धारित है। DCHB पूरे केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में आवश्यक सुविधाओं और बुनियादी ढाँचे का दस्तावेज़ीकरण करता है। डेटा सत्यापन और संकलन जारी है, और अंतिम जानकारी प्रकाशन के लिए भेजी जाएगी। घर-घर जाकर गिनती 25 जनवरी, 2027 से शुरू होने वाली है।
