Cyclone Murasu has brought incessant rains to Eluru district, leading to inundation in several low-lying areas and accumulation of knee-deep water on main roads. Trees have been uprooted across various mandals, prompting District Collector K. Vetri Selvi to order the evacuation of residents from vulnerable areas and old houses to safer locations. Officials are continuously monitoring river water levels and ensuring the safety of school buildings and electrical infrastructure.
