CJI Surya Kant to Inaugurate Ladakh's First Permanent High Court Bench in Leh

Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant will inaugurate Ladakh's first permanent High Court bench in Leh on Sunday, October 18, 2026. This significant move aims to bring justice closer to the residents of the Union Territory, particularly those in remote areas who previously faced difficulties accessing judicial institutions. The establishment of this bench means people will no longer need to travel to Srinagar or Jammu for judicial relief, including writ petitions. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena will also attend the inauguration ceremony.

सीजेआई सूर्य कांत लेह में लद्दाख की पहली स्थायी हाई कोर्ट बेंच का उद्घाटन करेंगे

भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश जस्टिस सूर्य कांत रविवार, 18 अक्टूबर 2026 को लेह में लद्दाख की पहली स्थायी हाई कोर्ट बेंच का उद्घाटन करेंगे। यह महत्वपूर्ण कदम केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के निवासियों, खासकर दूरदराज के इलाकों के उन लोगों के लिए न्याय को सुलभ बनाने का लक्ष्य रखता है, जिन्हें पहले न्यायिक संस्थानों तक पहुँचने में कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता था। इस बेंच की स्थापना का मतलब है कि लोगों को अब न्यायिक राहत, जिसमें रिट याचिकाएं भी शामिल हैं, के लिए श्रीनगर या जम्मू की यात्रा नहीं करनी पड़ेगी। उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना भी उद्घाटन समारोह में शामिल होंगे।
