The strategic divestment of IDBI Bank is set to push government divestment proceeds for the ongoing financial year to an eight-year high, exceeding the annual target of ₹80,000 crore. The total stake sale approved for IDBI Bank is ₹52,878 crore, with the government and LIC selling a combined 60.72 per cent stake. This sale will bring total divestment receipts for the fiscal year to ₹82,196 crore, the highest since FY19. The move is expected to improve confidence in future strategic sales and convert illiquid state equity into critical non-tax revenue.

IDBI बैंक की रणनीतिक विनिवेश से चालू वित्तीय वर्ष के लिए सरकारी विनिवेश की रकम आठ साल के उच्चतम स्तर पर पहुंचने वाली है, जो ₹80,000 करोड़ के सालाना लक्ष्य को पार कर जाएगी। IDBI बैंक के लिए स्वीकृत कुल हिस्सेदारी बिक्री ₹52,878 करोड़ है, जिसमें सरकार और LIC मिलकर 60.72 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी बेच रहे हैं। इस बिक्री से वित्तीय वर्ष के लिए कुल विनिवेश प्राप्तियां ₹82,196 करोड़ हो जाएंगी, जो FY19 के बाद सबसे अधिक हैं। इस कदम से भविष्य की रणनीतिक बिक्री में विश्वास बढ़ने और अतरल सरकारी इक्विटी को महत्वपूर्ण गैर-कर राजस्व में बदलने की उम्मीद है।
