Rajasthan HC Dismisses Plea Against Nomination Rejection

The Rajasthan High Court has dismissed a writ petition challenging the rejection of a nomination for a panchayat samiti election in Laxmangarh, Alwar. A single bench cited constitutional provisions and the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, stating that judicial interference is barred after the election notification. The petitioner had argued that a court name and date were inadvertently mentioned in his nomination form. However, the court maintained that such disputes can only be addressed through an election petition after results are declared, not during the ongoing process.

राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट ने अलवर के लक्ष्मणगढ़ में एक पंचायत समिति चुनाव के लिए नामांकन अस्वीकृत होने को चुनौती देने वाली एक रिट याचिका खारिज कर दी है। एकल पीठ ने संवैधानिक प्रावधानों और राजस्थान पंचायती राज अधिनियम का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि चुनाव अधिसूचना के बाद न्यायिक हस्तक्षेप वर्जित है। याचिकाकर्ता ने तर्क दिया था कि उसके नामांकन पत्र में गलती से अदालत का नाम और तारीख का उल्लेख हो गया था। हालांकि, अदालत ने कहा कि ऐसे विवादों का समाधान केवल परिणाम घोषित होने के बाद चुनाव याचिका के माध्यम से ही किया जा सकता है, न कि चल रही प्रक्रिया के दौरान।
