FDA has conducted a three-day crackdown on suspected food adulteration ahead of Diwali, seizing food products valued at Rs 45 lakh across the state. The operation also led to the suspension of five establishment licenses, the registration of three FIRs, and the arrest of two individuals. Inspections covered hotels, restaurants, sweet shops, and food manufacturing units. In Mumbai, 4,002 kg of sweets worth Rs 11.11 lakh were seized from a luxury bus, with samples sent for analysis.
