Karnataka government has launched the 'Kartavya' mobile app to ensure government employees and doctors remain at their headquarters. This initiative aims to improve public services and development work by preventing officials from working remotely., doctors in taluk hospitals and PHCs must log their night attendance via the app after 9 PM. Those on leave or duty elsewhere with prior permission are exempt but must record the reason. This move follows findings that many employees were not residing in their designated headquarters, causing public inconvenience.

कर्नाटक सरकार ने सरकारी कर्मचारियों और डॉक्टरों को उनके मुख्यालय में रहने के लिए 'कर्तव्य' मोबाइल ऐप लॉन्च किया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य अधिकारियों के दूर से काम करने पर रोक लगाकर सार्वजनिक सेवाओं और विकास कार्यों में सुधार करना है। तालुक अस्पतालों और पीएचसी में डॉक्टरों को रात 9 बजे के बाद ऐप के माध्यम से अपनी रात की हाजिरी दर्ज करनी होगी। छुट्टी पर या पूर्व अनुमति से कहीं और ड्यूटी पर मौजूद लोगों को छूट दी जाएगी, लेकिन उन्हें कारण दर्ज करना होगा। यह कदम कई कर्मचारियों के अपने निर्धारित मुख्यालयों में नहीं रहने की जानकारी के बाद उठाया गया है, जिससे जनता को असुविधा हो रही थी।
