Rishabh Pant's participation in the Irani Cup was marked by a heated exchange with an umpire. Pant was batting outside his crease by about one to one-and-a-half feet, which the umpire deemed against the rules. After a lengthy discussion, Pant had to adhere to the umpire's instructions. Immediately after this, he was dismissed for just 10 runs off 36 balls. Rest of India's innings concluded at 237 runs, with Jammu and Kashmir scoring 21 runs for the loss of two wickets by the end of the day.
