Munger Liquor Case: Seven More Cops Suspended Over Lapses in FIR Registration

Seven police personnel, including the Muffasil police station SHO, have been suspended in Munger, Bihar, for alleged irregularities in handling a liquor-related case and discrepancies in FIR registration. An inquiry ordered by the Munger SP found lapses in recording facts during the case registration, examining CCTV footage and official records. This action brings the total number of suspended police personnel in connection with the case to nine. The SP emphasized that negligence in enforcing Bihar's prohibition law will not be tolerated.
