Manipur Violence: 28 Homes Burned in 36 Hours, Police Assure Security Measures

Tensions have escalated in Manipur's Kamjong district, where 28 homes belonging to Naga and Kuki communities were set ablaze within 36 hours. Suspected militants attacked villages, forcing residents to flee to forests and military camps for safety. One person died and four were injured in an earlier attack on a Kuki settlement. In a separate incident, two people were injured in a car shooting in Ukhrul district. Manipur's Deputy Chief Minister condemned the violence and ordered enhanced security to protect citizens and apprehend those responsible.

मणिपुर के कामजोंग जिले में तनाव बढ़ गया है, जहाँ 36 घंटे के भीतर नागा और कुकी समुदायों के 28 घर जला दिए गए। संदिग्ध उग्रवादियों ने गांवों पर हमला किया, जिससे निवासियों को सुरक्षा के लिए जंगलों और सैन्य शिविरों में भागना पड़ा। कुकी बस्ती पर पहले हुए हमले में एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई थी और चार घायल हो गए थे। एक अलग घटना में, उखरूल जिले में कार पर गोलीबारी में दो लोग घायल हो गए। मणिपुर के उपमुख्यमंत्री ने हिंसा की निंदा की और नागरिकों की सुरक्षा तथा जिम्मेदार लोगों को पकड़ने के लिए सुरक्षा बढ़ाने का आदेश दिया।
