Man Steals Rs 1.1 Crore From Girlfriend's Home To Fund Sarpanch Election Bid

A 25-year-old man, Gopal Jakhar, has been arrested in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly stealing approximately Rs 1.10 crore worth of valuables from his girlfriend's home. The stolen items included gold biscuits, a gold chain, cash, and an iPhone 17. Jakhar reportedly planned to use the money to contest the Sarpanch elections in his village in Rajasthan. Police recovered most of the stolen goods and are continuing their investigation to ascertain if any items remain missing. The accused had switched off his phone after the theft, making his apprehension challenging.

इंदौर, मध्य प्रदेश में 25 साल के गोपाल जाखड़ को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उस पर आरोप है कि उसने अपनी प्रेमिका के घर से करीब 1.10 करोड़ रुपये के कीमती सामान चुराए। चोरी की गई चीज़ों में सोने के बिस्किट, सोने की चेन, नकदी और एक iPhone 17 शामिल थे। जाखड़ कथित तौर पर इस पैसे का इस्तेमाल राजस्थान के अपने गांव में सरपंच चुनाव लड़ने के लिए करना चाहता था। पुलिस ने चोरी का ज़्यादातर सामान बरामद कर लिया है और आगे की जांच कर रही है कि कहीं कुछ और भी गायब है या नहीं। आरोपी ने चोरी के बाद अपना फोन बंद कर दिया था, जिससे उसे पकड़ना मुश्किल हो गया था।
