Goa's New Ro-Ro Ferry Service Launch Delayed To February 2027
Times of India · automobile
The planned roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ferry service for the Divar-Sao Pedro route in Goa has been postponed to the first week of February 2027. This delay is attributed to the ongoing construction of the necessary ramps, which are expected to take another two to three months to complete. The project will introduce two smaller Ro-Ro vessels, each capable of carrying eight cars, utilizing imported thruster technology from South Korea for enhanced operational efficiency and simplified maintenance. This will be Goa's second Ro-Ro ferry service, following the existing Ribandar-Chorao route.
