Additionally, residents have requested beautification works and the installation of benches to further improve the facility.

मदुरै निगम ने सेलुर कनई वॉक‍वे पर लाइटिंग लगवाने की योजना की घोषणा की है, इस प्रोजेक्ट पर 8.7 लाख रुपये का अनुमानित खर्च आएगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य निवासियों और सुबह टहलने वालों की सुरक्षा बढ़ाना है, जो बेहतर रोशनी की लंबे समय से चली आ रही मांग को पूरा करेगा। उम्मीद है कि शाम के समय असामाजिक गतिविधियों को रोका जा सकेगा और वॉक‍वे का अधिक उपयोग होगा। इसके अलावा, निवासियों ने सुविधा को और बेहतर बनाने के लिए सौंदर्यीकरण कार्य और बेंच लगाने का भी अनुरोध किया है।
