The Hindu · india

The Telangana government has mandated Aadhaar authentication for users accessing the online Transferable Development Rights (TDR) portal. This measure, effective from October 22, 2026, applies to property owners, builders, and developers for registration, application submission, and linking with the property database. It will also authenticate officials from the Directorate of Town and Country Planning and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The move aims to prevent fraud and ensure data accuracy, though Aadhaar authentication remains voluntary, with alternative identity proofs accepted.
