Vande Mataram Sung Before National Anthem

For the first time ever, India's National Song, Vande Mataram, was played before the National Anthem at an international cricket match. This occurred before the T20I between India and Afghanistan at New Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. The Ministry of Home Affairs had previously issued protocols for singing Vande Mataram, specifying six stanzas for official functions. While sporting events were not explicitly listed, this marks a unique pre-match ceremony.

राष्ट्रगान से पहले वंदे मातरम गाया गया

पहली बार किसी अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट मैच से पहले राष्ट्रगान की जगह 'वंदे मातरम' गाया गया। यह भारत और अफ़गानिस्तान के बीच दिल्ली के अरुण जेटली स्टेडियम में हुए T20I मैच से पहले हुआ। गृह मंत्रालय ने पहले ही 'वंदे मातरम' गाने के नियम बताए थे, जिसमें सरकारी कार्यक्रमों के लिए छह पद तय किए गए थे। हालाँकि, खेल आयोजनों का इसमें ज़िक्र नहीं था, पर यह एक अनोखी रस्म रही।
