SAD seeks SIT probe against SGPC member

The Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjeet) has demanded a special investigation team probe into allegations against former SGPC member Amarjit Singh Chawla. A party delegation met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, seeking his intervention in the matter. They requested an impartial probe into the FIR registered against Chawla and subsequent developments, with the SIT to be headed by an impartial officer and complete its investigation within 15 days.

शिरोमणि अकाली दल (पुनर्जीत) ने एसजीपीसी के पूर्व सदस्य अमरजीत सिंह चावला के खिलाफ लगे आरोपों की जांच के लिए विशेष जांच दल (SIT) गठित करने की मांग की है। पार्टी के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान से मुलाकात की और इस मामले में हस्तक्षेप करने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने चावला के खिलाफ दर्ज FIR और आगे की जांच की निष्पक्ष जांच की मांग की, जिसमें SIT का नेतृत्व एक निष्पक्ष अधिकारी करे और 15 दिनों में जांच पूरी करे।
