Congress Leader Booked For Objectionable Remarks Against UP Assembly Speaker

Kanpur police have registered a case against Congress rural district president Sandeep Shukla and his supporters following a complaint by a BJP functionary. The complainant alleged that Shukla made objectionable remarks against Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana on his Facebook page. The BJP leader accused Shukla and other Congress workers of tarnishing Mahana’s image by posting a video and comments. Shukla, however, claimed the complaint was politically motivated and alleged that police were not registering cases against BJP workers.

कानपुर पुलिस ने बीजेपी पदाधिकारी की शिकायत के बाद कांग्रेस ग्रामीण जिला अध्यक्ष संदीप शुक्ला और उनके समर्थकों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। शिकायतकर्ता ने आरोप लगाया कि शुक्ला ने अपने फेसबुक पेज पर विधानसभा अध्यक्ष सतीश महाना के खिलाफ आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी की थी। बीजेपी नेता ने शुक्ला और अन्य कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं पर वीडियो और टिप्पणियां पोस्ट कर महाना की छवि खराब करने का आरोप लगाया। हालांकि, शुक्ला ने दावा किया कि शिकायत राजनीतिक रूप से प्रेरित थी और उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि पुलिस बीजेपी कार्यकर्ताओं के खिलाफ मामले दर्ज नहीं कर रही है।
