19 Fund Managers Selected for Rs 7,131 Crore RDI Fund Cohort

Nineteen fund managers, including Chiratae Ventures, Blume Ventures, and Kalaari Capital, have been selected for the first cohort of the government's Rs 1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) scheme. These selected entities, comprising 14 alternative investment funds and five focused research organizations, will receive a total commitment of Rs 7,131 crore. The funds will be channeled into deeptech startups and private sector research and development initiatives. The selection process involved a multi-stage evaluation by an Expert Advisory Committee and the Anusandhan National Research Foundation's Executive Council.

सरकार की 1 लाख करोड़ रुपये की रिसर्च, डेवलपमेंट एंड इनोवेशन (RDI) योजना की पहली खेप के लिए चिरता वेंचर्स, ब्लूम वेंचर्स और कलारी कैपिटल सहित उन्नीस फंड मैनेजरों को चुना गया है। इन चुनी गई संस्थाओं, जिनमें 14 अल्टरनेटिव इन्वेस्टमेंट फंड और पांच फोकस्ड रिसर्च ऑर्गनाइजेशन शामिल हैं, को कुल 7,131 करोड़ रुपये की प्रतिबद्धता मिलेगी। यह फंड डीपटेक स्टार्टअप्स और प्राइवेट सेक्टर के रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट पहलों में लगाया जाएगा। इस चयन प्रक्रिया में एक्सपर्ट एडवाइजरी कमेटी और अनुसन्धान नेशनल रिसर्च फाउंडेशन की एग्जीक्यूटिव काउंसिल द्वारा कई चरणों में मूल्यांकन किया गया।
