Chhattisgarh Healer Arrested For Raping Minor Under Pretext Of Treatment

A 44-year-old traditional healer has been arrested in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district for allegedly drugging and repeatedly raping a 14-year-old girl. The abuse came to light after a medical examination revealed the girl was approximately five months pregnant. Police registered a case under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the BNS after the girl's parents filed a complaint. The accused had been treating the girl since April, claiming she had a uterine problem and giving her an amulet.

छत्तीसगढ़ के कांकेर जिले में एक 44 वर्षीय कथित झोलाछाप डॉक्टर को 14 साल की नाबालिग से कथित तौर पर नशीला पदार्थ खिलाकर बार-बार बलात्कार करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। मेडिकल जांच में लड़की के लगभग पांच महीने की गर्भवती होने का पता चलने के बाद यह घिनौना कृत्य सामने आया। लड़की के माता-पिता द्वारा शिकायत दर्ज कराने के बाद पुलिस ने POCSO अधिनियम और BNS की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है। आरोपी अप्रैल से लड़की का इलाज कर रहा था, यह दावा करते हुए कि उसे गर्भाशय की समस्या है और उसे एक ताबीज दे रहा था।
