Russia launched a significant overnight attack on Ukraine, deploying 39 ballistic missiles and over 120 attack drones. The primary targets were energy and critical infrastructure in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Kharkiv, leaving at least 600,000 people without electricity. This assault, which also damaged railways, deliberately targeted power facilities despite a declared ceasefire, marking a clear violation and disregard for American statements. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy appealed for a strong global response and requested further Patriot missile interceptors.
