The Indian Coast Guard has apprehended an Indian Fishing Boat, IFB Haridwar Krupa, suspected of illicit diesel smuggling off the Mumbai coast. Acting on surveillance, ICG ships intercepted the vessel after it failed to respond and attempted evasive maneuvers. A boarding party discovered the boat had received approximately 4,000 liters of illicit diesel, with the crew discharging some overboard. The apprehended vessel, its crew, and confiscated evidence were escorted to Mumbai for a joint investigation involving multiple agencies.
