Pakistan-Made Goods Under Scanner Near India-Nepal Border

Times of India · india

Central security agencies and East Champaran police have initiated a drive to identify hawkers selling Pakistani products like bedsheets and cosmetics in villages and towns. This action follows an incident in Motihari's Raghunathpur locality where suspected sellers were found with Pakistan-made bedsheets. Given Motihari's proximity to the porous India-Nepal border, a known smuggling route, authorities are concerned about the origin of these goods. The government has banned Pakistani products, but smuggling via Bangladesh and Nepal is suspected.
