Jaipur Villagers Struggle For Civic Clearances After JDA Expansion

Times of India · india

Residents of over 500 villages now under the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) are facing significant difficulties obtaining routine civic clearances. The JDA's area has nearly doubled, incorporating 712 new villages, but no local offices have been established. This forces villagers to travel long distances to Jaipur for essential approvals like building plans and land permissions, as online systems are not always accessible or understood. Local representatives have raised concerns, noting that this issue could become a factor in upcoming panchayat elections.
