Kaviti Mandal Leads In Kidney Disease Cases

An interim report on kidney diseases in Srikakulam's Uddanam region reveals Kaviti mandal has the highest number of cases. Out of 3,897 people screened, 949 (24.35%) have kidney disease, including 550 with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and 399 with CKDu. Researchers are examining environmental, occupational, and lifestyle factors. Blood and urine samples are being tested for contaminants. The study aims to screen 5,851 people to understand the disease's causes.
