Deep Depression Hits Odisha Coast, Causes Heavy Rain

A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has made landfall on the Odisha coast, bringing heavy rainfall and thunderstorms to several parts of India. The system, located near Kalingapatnam, is expected to weaken gradually. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha have already recorded significant rainfall, with Visakhapatnam receiving 278 mm. The IMD has warned of strong winds up to 60 kmph, with gusts reaching 70 kmph, in Odisha and Bihar.
