सरकारी आंकड़ों से पता चला है कि नर्सेज रजिस्ट्रेशन एंड ट्रैकिंग सिस्टम (NRTS) का काम ठीक से नहीं हो रहा है। पूरे देश में 46.02 लाख रजिस्टर्ड नर्सिंग स्टाफ में से सिर्फ 14.24 लाख ही इसमें शामिल हुए हैं। कई बड़े राज्य इस ज़रूरी रजिस्ट्रेशन में पीछे चल रहे हैं। इससे देश के नर्सिंग स्टाफ को ट्रैक करने और मैनेज करने में बड़ी कमी दिख रही है, जिसका असर स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं और नियमों पर पड़ सकता है।
