Bihar Sees Rare Waterspout Phenomenon

A rare waterspout, also known as a जल बवंडर, was observed in Bihar's Samastipur district on September 26. This natural phenomenon appears as a rotating column of air extending from the clouds to the water's surface. While it looks like water is being pulled upwards, it is actually condensed water droplets and spray from the surface caused by the rotating winds. These events occur due to differences in wind speed and direction at various altitudes, known as wind shear, combined with rising warm, moist air.

बिहार के समस्तीपुर जिले में 26 सितंबर को एक दुर्लभ जल बवंडर देखा गया। यह प्राकृतिक घटना बादलों से पानी की सतह तक हवा के घूमते हुए स्तंभ के रूप में दिखाई देती है। हालाँकि ऐसा लगता है कि पानी ऊपर खींचा जा रहा है, यह वास्तव में घूमती हुई हवाओं के कारण संघनित जल की बूंदें और सतह से उड़ने वाली फुहार होती है। ये घटनाएँ हवा की कतरन (wind shear) के कारण होती हैं, जो विभिन्न ऊँचाइयों पर हवा की गति और दिशा में अंतर के साथ-साथ गर्म, नम हवा के ऊपर उठने से बनती हैं।
