He stated that the price of fine quality rice has increased by over 25% in the last four months, despite government claims of record paddy production. Rao questioned the government's public distribution system supply and highlighted significant price hikes in onions, garlic, groundnut oil, and various dals. He urged the government to review the price rise and implement measures against hoarding to control inflation.

बीआरएस नेता टी. हरीश राव ने तेलंगाना राज्य सरकार पर आवश्यक वस्तुओं, खासकर महीन चावल की कीमतों में वृद्धि के दौरान निष्क्रियता का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकारी दावों के बावजूद, पिछले चार महीनों में महीन गुणवत्ता वाले चावल की कीमत 25% से अधिक बढ़ गई है, जबकि रिकॉर्ड धान उत्पादन का दावा किया गया है। राव ने सरकार की सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली की आपूर्ति पर सवाल उठाए और प्याज, लहसुन, मूंगफली तेल और विभिन्न दालों की कीमतों में भारी वृद्धि पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने सरकार से मूल्य वृद्धि की समीक्षा करने और मुद्रास्फीति को नियंत्रित करने के लिए जमाखोरी के खिलाफ उपाय लागू करने का आग्रह किया।
