Odisha Sports Dept Asked for Update on Complaints Against Gymnastics Association

A fresh representation has been submitted to the Odisha Sports Department requesting an action-taken report on complaints filed against the Odisha Gymnastics Association (OGA) earlier this year. The original complaint questioned the sanction of Rs 1.96 crore and release of Rs 98 lakh by the state government to OGA for conducting the National Gymnastics Championships. Allegations included governance irregularities, lack of elections, non-transparency, age-fraud cover-ups, and financial irregularities. The complainant urged the department to disclose actions taken, citing public interest and proper utilization of government resources.

ओडिशा खेल विभाग को इस साल की शुरुआत में ओडिशा जिम्नास्टिक एसोसिएशन (OGA) के खिलाफ दर्ज शिकायतों पर कार्रवाई रिपोर्ट के लिए एक नया आवेदन प्रस्तुत किया गया है। मूल शिकायत में राज्य सरकार द्वारा राष्ट्रीय जिम्नास्टिक चैंपियनशिप आयोजित करने के लिए OGA को 1.96 करोड़ रुपये की मंजूरी और 98 लाख रुपये जारी करने पर सवाल उठाया गया था। आरोपों में शासन में अनियमितताएं, चुनाव न होना, पारदर्शिता की कमी, आयु-धोखाधड़ी को छिपाना और वित्तीय अनियमितताएं शामिल थीं। शिकायतकर्ता ने जनहित और सरकारी संसाधनों के उचित उपयोग का हवाला देते हुए विभाग से की गई कार्रवाई का खुलासा करने का आग्रह किया।
