The final electoral roll will now be published on December 22, with claims and objections to be disposed of by December 15. This revision follows a Supreme Court directive to consider extending the timeline. Previously, the deadline was October 30. The extension comes after 4.756 million electors were excluded from the draft rolls published on August 31, with over 275,000 applications received for inclusion.

भारत के चुनाव आयोग ने दिल्ली की मतदाता सूची में दावों और आपत्तियों को दर्ज कराने की समय सीमा को बढ़ाकर 25 नवंबर कर दिया है। अंतिम मतदाता सूची अब 22 दिसंबर को प्रकाशित होगी, जबकि दावों और आपत्तियों का निपटारा 15 दिसंबर तक कर दिया जाएगा। यह संशोधन सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देश के बाद आया है जिसमें समय सीमा बढ़ाने पर विचार करने को कहा गया था। पहले, समय सीमा 30 अक्टूबर थी। यह विस्तार 31 अगस्त को प्रकाशित मसौदा मतदाता सूची से 4.756 मिलियन मतदाताओं को बाहर करने के बाद आया है, जिसमें शामिल करने के लिए 275,000 से अधिक आवेदन प्राप्त हुए थे।
