Violence marred the third phase of Panchayati Raj elections in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu, Sikar, and Jalore districts, resulting in the death of one youth and injuries to several others. Clashes involving supporters of sarpanch candidates erupted with sticks in Jhunjhunu, while a candidate was allegedly assaulted by his opponent and supporters in Sikar. Police used lathi charges in Jalore to disperse groups protesting alleged bogus voting. Polling proceeded for thousands of sarpanch and ward panch posts, with a high turnout recorded.
