Man Kills Wife With Pestle Over Toe-Ring Gift On Karwa Chauth

A Gwalior man allegedly beat his wife to death with 17 blows of a pestle on Karwa Chauth after suspecting her of infidelity over a toe-ring gift. The accused, Anand Srivastava, believed his elder brother had gifted the jewellery to his wife, Madhu, and suspected a relationship. He attacked her as she lay in bed, bludgeoning her head and face. He then called the police and confessed to the crime. The couple married in 2010 and have two children. Family members described the accused as unemployed and mentally unstable.

ग्वालियर में एक आदमी ने करवा चौथ पर अपनी पत्नी को पायल के तोहफे को लेकर शक के चलते कथित तौर पर ओखली से 17 बार पीटकर मार डाला। आरोपी आनंद श्रीवास्तव को शक था कि उसके बड़े भाई ने अपनी पत्नी, मधु को यह गहना उपहार में दिया था और उसका रिश्ता था। उसने बिस्तर पर लेटी हुई उस पर हमला किया, उसके सिर और चेहरे पर वार किया। फिर उसने पुलिस को फोन किया और अपराध कबूल कर लिया। इस जोड़े ने 2010 में शादी की थी और उनके दो बच्चे हैं। परिवार के सदस्यों ने आरोपी को बेरोजगार और मानसिक रूप से अस्थिर बताया।
