BBL is set to expand globally by hosting its opening match in India for the first time. The BBL 16 opener between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers will take place at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium on December 12. Ticket sales have already exceeded expectations, with 5,000 tickets sold and an additional 2,000 sold in the first 30 minutes. This move is part of the BBL's strategy to grow as a global league and tap into India's immense commercial potential and passionate cricket fanbase.
