Residents of PRS Lake Villa apartments in Thiruvananthapuram have been urgently relocated following an earth cave-in. The incident occurred after a private school, Good Shepherd School, removed soil unscientifically for construction without a retaining wall. This led to a 50-meter road collapse in front of the apartments, barely 4 meters away. The District Collector has suspended construction and ordered the evacuation of all 58 families, with the school covering accommodation costs. A technical team will assess the site before residents can return.

तिरुवनंतपुरम में पीआरएस लेक विला अपार्टमेंट के निवासियों को भूस्खलन के बाद तुरंत वहां से हटा दिया गया है। यह घटना एक निजी स्कूल, गुड शेफर्ड स्कूल, द्वारा निर्माण के लिए बिना रिटेनिंग वॉल के अवैज्ञानिक तरीके से मिट्टी हटाने के बाद हुई। इससे अपार्टमेंट के सामने, मात्र 4 मीटर की दूरी पर, 50 मीटर सड़क धंस गई। जिला कलेक्टर ने निर्माण कार्य रुकवा दिया है और सभी 58 परिवारों को खाली कराने का आदेश दिया है, जिसका खर्च स्कूल उठाएगा। निवासियों की वापसी से पहले एक तकनीकी टीम साइट का मूल्यांकन करेगी।
